In 2001, a team of engineers at a then-obscure R&D company called AC Propulsion quietly began a groundbreaking experiment. The concept behind V2G had gained traction in the late 1990s after California’s landmark zero-emission-vehicle (ZEV) mandate went into effect and compelled automakers to commercialize electric cars.

New concepts are to be developed for the integration of battery-electric vans—including the required charging infrastructure—into existing operational processes. The test started in April 2016.

When fitted to the all-new Outlander, the Mitsubishi plug-in hybrid EV system will allow for a range and very low emissions similar to that of the Concept PX-MiEV II show car ( earlier post ), i.e. a driving distance of more than 800 km (497 miles) and a CO 2 target below 50 g/km. 1 compression ratio.

This is the opposite of the approach taken by Toyota with its Mirai fuel cell vehicle ( earlier post ) and Honda with its new FCV Concept ( earlier post ). Fuel cell technology is running in comepetition with long-range battery electric vehicles. The h-tron concept car shows that we have also mastered fuel cell technology.
