Research data included 11,390 emergency room visits and hospital admissions made by 7,954 children ages 0 to 18 between 2000 and 2008. Key findings included: Associations of asthma with ambient pollution, including carbon monoxide, oxides of nitrogen and PM2.5, Hospital encounters for asthma were linked to PM 2.5

The main study shows that under all nine scenarios for both rates of market penetration of PHEVs and the evolving power grids characteristics (capacity/carbon intensity), PHEVs will vastly reduce greenhouse gases for the next 40 years. But theyve needed definitive proof that PHEVs wont increase pollution. Thats 20-25 cents a gallon.
