As of today, less than 1% of vehicles on the road in the US are either BEVs or PHEVs. When 1 out of 10 vehicles on the road in America don’t use any gasoline, then that will have a real impact on fuel tax revenue. First, electric vehicles clearly need to pay their share for building roads and infrastructure and maintenance.
