With HEO, electrochemical properties can be tailored, as was found by scientists at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT). An open-access paper on their work is published in the journal Nature Communications.

They claimed the vehicles weren’t popular with most consumers because the car’s battery had a limited range of 60 to 100 miles before having to be recharged.
