GM will leapfrog Toyota and Honda by providing an electric car to the masses by the end of next year. It offers 18 models that deliver 30 mpg or more. They only have that many models because they use the same chassis and drivetrain to build 3 different cars, one branded as a Chevy, the next a Pontiac, then a Saturn, etc.
