It appears that few people, especially those in the mainstream media, understand the basic physics underlying fast charging, so I though it would be a good idea to review this and its implications for electric vehicle infrastructure. I like to use the example of someone driving from Los Angeles to Las Vegas.

Think of driving any vehicle in the hot Los Angeles summer time. Then consider that in order to actually go any farther than the neighbood store, one still had to have ANOTHER car. A simple, clean, efficient EV that wont run out of juice because of its on-board gas generator. run the hardware store and buy a new one.
