Combined registrations in Italy, the UK, Spain and France tumbled from 646,000 units in April 2019 to 34,000 one year later. Other key models such as the Tesla Model 3, Renault Zoe and Nissan Lead registered declines of 37%, 47% and 56% respectively. EVs: the new safe haven. Their market share remained stable at approximately 37%.

Latest research from Specialist Car Finance Experts, Forza Finance , has revealed that BMW is the most popular luxury car brand to finance in 16 of Europe’s 44 countries including the UK & Ireland based on finance rather than sales or units. Tesla Model 3 wins in February Despite a depressing overall market (-20% YoY in February), the European passenger plugin market continues on the rise, having registered over 115,000 units in February (+66% YoY), placing last month plugin share at 14% share (5.9% BEV) , keeping the 2021 PEV share at 14% (5.7% for BEVs alone).
