The $2 million grant is part of the federal stimulus package and comes from NSF’s Emerging Frontiers in Research and Innovation program. student Tim Turner, and industry partners Diversified Energy Corp. -Fe 2 O 3 (hematite) electrodes that achieve the highest photocurrent of any metal oxide photoanode for photoelectrochemical water-splitting under 100?mW?cm Warren, first author, now at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Its efficiency was such that gas bubbles emerged as soon as it was under a light stimulus.
