Case-in-point is the all-new GV60 EV, which followed its cousins, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 (2020), and the Kia EV6 ( 2021). The slowest, a standard 120V household plug, delivers a full charge in about 68 hours (that’s just short of three days). Maintenance – Three years/36,000 miles. So Genesis, you did a great job.

Hyundai staged the global debut of its fifth-generation, 2011 Elantra at the Los Angeles Auto Show. Using D-CVVT on both camshafts has several advantages when compared with using it just on the intake camshaft, Hyundai says. The 2011 Elantra is the first small car in the Hyundai lineup to receive a six-speed automatic.

It’s purely a software upgrade, and standardization is already in place. The ISO 15118-20 standard enables bidirectional communication between the charging station and the vehicle, and with OCPP 2.0.1 , permission is granted to go through the DC port. Kia, Hyundai will be launching bidirectional-capable vehicles. That’s one way.

The Mirai has had only a little competition Along with the Mirai, the Hyundai Nexo FCEV (and its predecessor, the Hyundai Tucson FCEV ) has been on sale in California since around 2016 and makes-up a part of the total 18,025 FCEVs sold in California. A maintenance-free car for about $21,000 sounds pretty enticing.

Along with Hyundai and Honda who also have sold FCEVs, since 2012 there have been 14,225 fuel cell cars sold in the United States, nearly all of those in California.
