Coming on the heels of the Google/Brookings event in Washington, D.C., Representatives of GM stoked the clamor for the Volt, and a Saturn Vue plug-in hybrid sat on the show floor. Automaker announcements keep coming, feeding hope that your next car will be a plug-in hybrid or more likely all-electric car.

The founders of Google have made personal investments in Tesla as befits dotcom billionaires, and they're converting Priuses to plug-in hybrids for the company fleet with battery maker A123. I hope Google is realizing that their plug-in hybrid fleet could probably mostly be all-electric cars.
