The Ford C-MAX Hybrid ( earlier post ) is now officially EPA-certified at 47 mpg city, 47 mpg highway and 47 mpg combined (5.0L/100km), 100km), bettering the fuel economy of the Toyota Prius v by 3 mpg on the city cycle and 7 mpg on the highway (5 mpg combined). C-MAX Hybrid.

And I’m one those million since they’re counting plug-in hybrids (PHEVs) as well as full battery electrics. My lifetime tally is 231 mpg, which means I’ve used less than 80 gallons of gas over the car’s 42 months on the road. 379,125 plug-in hybrids (26%). Toyota Prius Prime PHEV – 14,275. Still turning in max EV miles.
