Toyota Motor Sales, USA will conduct a voluntary safety recall involving approximately 87,000 model year 2010 Toyota Prius and Lexus HS 250h vehicles. The involved vehicles are equipped with a brake pressure accumulator that may develop a fatigue crack on an internal part due to vibration.

As part of what has become a global recall of the third-generation Prius, Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), USA Inc, will conduct a voluntary safety recall on approximately 133,000 2010 Model Year Prius vehicles and 14,500 Lexus Division 2010 HS 250h vehicles to update software in the vehicle’s anti-lock brake system (ABS).

The hybrid transaxle in the upcoming Lexus HS 250h hybrid sedan ( earlier post ) will use an electric transmission oil pump in place of a mechanical pump, further shifting ancillary loads from mechanical to electrical propulsion, according to Toyota. Jack Rosebro.

Kyodo News reports that Toyota Motor Corp. The SAI reportedly will have the same basic structure as the recently introduced Lexus HS 250h, but with different exterior and interior designs. The SAI price is expected to fall between that of the Prius and the HS 250h.
