Toyota and Tesla were the top-selling auto brands in California, earning the top overall market share figures regardless of powertrain at 15.7 percent.

June saw plugin EVs at 24.6% to 18.9%, the share of plugin hybrids halved, however, after incentives were cut. With combined plugin EVs at 24.6% share in June, full electrics (BEVs) contributed 18.9%, and plugin hybrids (PHEVs) contributed 5.7%. share in Germany, down from 26.0% year on year.

By using these standards, we can better access vehicles manufactured in and for the United Kingdom, a far larger right-hand-drive EV market. Mainstream brands like Honda, GM, Volvo, VW Group, Ford (Europe) have committed to going all EV, and recently Toyota announced a strong move in this direction also.

Having centralized energy production in that way allows for centralized pollution control measures, filters, so-called "clean coal" rather than depending on X number of cars, manufacturers, and consumers to deal with pollution control.

Why is it taking so long for manufacturers to get this sorted?? Theres a company in Guernsey (a UK island) which does conversions (the Mk1 shape), but I want a current shape model and a 60 mile range is just fine. A Smart/Tesla combo sounds fantastic for the commute. Mercedes please take note.
