Brasov, Romania has ordered 25 Solaris Trollino 18 trolleybuses. Solaris will supply the articulated, low-floor and zero-emission trolleybuses to the customer within 12 months. The main purpose of the project co-financed by the EU is to reduce pollutant emissions in the centre of the city.

In the medium term, annual sales of around €100 million are to be generated here with the development and production of innovative energy supply systems. The Indian government is also striving to replace polluting energy systems such as diesel generators with sustainable energy solutions in order to reduce CO 2 emissions significantly.
