The electric Infiniti has been “postponed,” and BMW is entering the market with a car that doesn’t challenge Tesla. Plug-in vehicle sales are indeed increasing, with the LEAF and Volt each selling about 2500 units in June 2013. It’s also grid-friendly. Automakers continue to only offer sub-100 mile range vehicles.

The available eight-inch touchscreen navigation display includes next-generation Blue Link, traffic flow and incident data via HD radio, Infinity premium audio with eight speakers, subwoofer and Clari-Fi music-restoration technology. Estimated range is 250 miles (402 km).
