Retail hydrogen-station operator True Zero reported that it has powered more than 1,000,000 zero-emission miles by fuel-cell vehicles. The achievement of a million miles comes as a result of automakers, including Toyota, Honda, Hyundai and Mercedes-Benz expanding their fuel-cell-vehicle programs.

Driving a fuel-cell-electric Toyota Mirai, the founders of True Zero completed a scenic drive throughout California, covering 1,438 miles (2,314 km) in a 24-hour period, thus breaking the official Guinness World Record for electric miles driven in 24 hours.

The ISO 15118-20 standard enables bidirectional communication between the charging station and the vehicle, and with OCPP 2.0.1 , permission is granted to go through the DC port. Kia, Hyundai will be launching bidirectional-capable vehicles. Volkswagen has been working on it.
