Mr. Kulongoski wants to make Oregon the go-to state for electric vehicle production. One thing is for sure; - electric cars bring down the air pollution, but they sure create another waste pollution problem. Many of the first Prius hybrids that were released are still running strong on their NiMH batteries after 100,000+ miles.
