Proposed Changes to the Federal EV Tax Credit Passed by the House of Representatives

The credit is not available for Tesla vehicles acquired after December 31, 2019 and General Motors EV purchased after March 31, 2020. Some EV advocates believe that there should not be any MSRP cap and that incentives that encourage the purchase of ANY electric vehicle regardless of price is a good thing. Effective Date: Jan 1, 2022.
