With Hyundai CRADLE’s presence in Singapore, the company will expand its global innovation network to Southeast Asia, with hubs already established in Korea, US, Israel, Germany and China. In the US, car-sharing and robo-taxi services will capitalize on the anticipated commercialization of autonomous vehicles of SAE Level 4 or higher.

Better Place introduced its electric vehicle (EV) services platform at the Frankfurt Motor Show, in conjunction with Renault’s unveiling of the Fluence ZE Concept with Quickdrop (switchable) battery system and an expanded agreement with Renault, committing both companies to a volume of at least 100,000 electric cars in Israel and Denmark by 2016.

Slovenia, Iceland, the Netherlands, Ireland, India, Denmark, Sweden, Israel, Germany and the United Kingdom all have 2030 deadlines. This includes Norway and South Korea, by 2025. In 2020, 70 per cent of new vehicle sales in Norway were EV. Japan has a 2035 deadline. The average fleet holds those vehicles for three to five years.
