Most of the vehicles debuting at the 2022 Los Angeles Auto Show were powered by some sort of electricity. Not all were, of course, as there is still plenty of interest around gasoline-propelled cars, SUVs and trucks. 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6 EV. liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine that now pumps-out 195 horsepower.

Hyundai Motor Company unveiled the 2.4 Theta II GDI, its first Gasoline Direct Injection engine before an audience of engineers attending the Ninth Annual Hyundai-Kia International Powertrain Conference in Korea. GDI application will subsequently be expanded across the gasoline engine family and applied to other Hyundai models.

Is an EV Genesis, the luxury division of Hyundai Motor Group, began this past week producing its first model in the United States at the sprawling HMG factory in Montgomery, Alabama. Both GV70s share a platform that was specifically designed for a gasoline engine and electric motors. The last one is no small thing.

It is rare when we post a review of a car that is only available in one of the 50 United States, but such is the case with the 2022 Toyota Mirai hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV), which is only sold in California. A gasoline-like experience. The 2nd gen Mirai mimics a Lexus look. No plugging in to an electrical outlet.
