kWh NiMH plug-in hybrid (PHEV) conversion kit that enables all-electric mode driving at speeds of up to 70 miles per hour (until the battery pack is depleted) in a converted Prius. What we’re essentially offering is all-electric performance for about 25 miles at highway speeds.

kWh Li-ion pack enabling an electric range of up to 15 miles (24 km) at speeds of up to 62 mph (100 km/h), according to Toyota. Toyota’s goal was to reduce the cost, weight and volume of the pack from the NiMH system used earlier. Maximum electric range is 15 miles. VDC up to 650 volts DC. L/100km, respectively.

GM has announced plans for public sales in 2010, and almost every carmaker now says it will sell PHEVs or highway-speed battery electric vehicles (BEVs) sometime after 2010. Shifted earlier focus to all-electric Focus in 2011 with Magna. See Chevy Volt for latest. Company says its focusing on gasoline and hydrogen.
