Ive found it facinating how car commercials changed the main MPG number they promoted before gas went over $4 a gallon as city miles. To get the most mileage, one could not have the radio, the A/C, or the headlights on. Then consider that in order to actually go any farther than the neighbood store, one still had to have ANOTHER car.
