A Florida car dealer set a mission to drive 1,100 miles in a Toyota Prius, which had been modified as a plug-in hybrid, while burning as little petrol as possible. Currently, there are some industrial facilities that use battery swapping to replenish the energy stores of electric forklifts. The whole operation could take less than five minutes, pretty much the same amount of time many people spend filling their gas tanks at stations today. One of the main drawbacks to charge stations is speed.
