Nissan NV200 NYC Taxi. The New York City Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) has selected the Nissan NV200 as the exclusive taxi of New York City for a decade, beginning in late 2013. However, Nissan will be able to manufacture the NV200 to run on electric-only power starting in 2017.

The New York Taxi and Limousine Commission (TLC) approved a pilot program to introduce more electric taxis into the city’s yellow cab industry. The New York Taxi and Limousine Commission seems to share Thomas’s perspective. TLC’s BEV pilot program will be open to other more electric vehicles.

Ford detailed seven of the 13 new global electrified vehicles it plans to introduce in the next five years, including hybrid versions of the iconic F-150 pickup and Mustang in the US, a plug-in hybrid (PHEV) Transit Custom van in Europe and a fully electric SUV with an expected range of at least 300 miles (483 km) for customers globally.
