We first wrote about the Triac three-wheel electric vehicle back in 2010. Made by Green Vehicles of Salinas, California, it touted a 100-mile range, an 80 mph top speed, and a price tag of $25,000. Some curious vehicles have emerged on the electric vehicle market over the years, and few have been more curious than the Triac.

ElectraMeccanica Vehicles will begin customer deliveries of its single-occupant, three-wheeled, electric vehicle, the SOLO. The SOLO is a purpose-built, three-wheeled, all-electric solution for the urban environment. The SOLO has a range of 100 miles and a top speed of 80 mph, making it safe for highways.

This has included calibrating the powertrain and allowed engineers to create a range of driving modes. Weighing in at 700kg – just 60kg than the less powerful petrol-fed three-wheeler – the XP-1 will deliver a range of up to 240km and be capable of covering more than 160km even in cold weather.

a South Korea-based manufacturer of low speed electric vehicles (LSVs) plans to build a range of electric vehicles in the US, beginning with its e-Zone and c-Zone low speed electric vehicles.
