Chrysler plans to initiate fleet-wide integration of this fuel-saving start/stop technology on a global basis, including certain models in North America. After two years of testing, the US DOE demonstration projects for Ram Truck and Chrysler Minivan PHEVs are undergoing upgrades to leverage advancements in lithium-ion battery technology.
