Electric cars store their energy in a lithium-ion battery, which powers an electric engine. This helps hybrid cars get better gas mileage in traffic, which is the opposite of fully gas-powered vehicles, which suffer lower mileage on busy city streets and can achieve better fuel economy while cruising on the highway at a steady speed.

Then consider that in order to actually go any farther than the neighbood store, one still had to have ANOTHER car. If no one wants your car (because people think it sucks), then no one will buy it, regardless of how good the fuel economy may or may not be. run the hardware store and buy a new one. but even that is wrong.
