A drivable prototype of the W-15 will be unveiled at the Advanced Clean Transportation Expo in Long Beach, California, on May 2. Designed specifically to meet the needs of commercial fleets, the W-15 is believed to be the first plug-in, range-extended pickup truck built from the ground up by an original equipment manufacturer (OEM).

Vision designed the Tyrano to replace short haul diesel trucks operating in the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach. Vision’s proprietary hydrogen fuel cell/plug-in electric drive system combines the superior acceleration of a battery powered electric vehicle with the extended range provided by a hydrogen fuel cell.

An American green technology company has developed a hybrid Hummer capable of over 100mpg. Raser Technologies, the company behind the hybrid hummer, claims to have achieved the impossible by greening up one of the cars with the worse environmental record. The H3E can go about 400 miles before needing to refuel.
