Ford, Jose Cuervo team up to make car parts with bioplastic reinforced with blue agave fibers

Ford Motor Company is teaming up with Jose Cuervo to explore the use of the tequila producer’s blue agave plant fiber byproduct to develop more sustainable bioplastics to employ in Ford vehicles. Ford is using about 20% fiber to reinforce its plastics. There are about 400 pounds of plastic on a typical car. 13 mm wide.
