Daimler/Mercedes Took over Daimler/Chrysler Sprinter PHEV program. Honda Sees PHEVs as having "unnecessary fuel engine and fuel tank;" promises all-electrics "assuming we can come up with a really high-performing battery that we are working on currently." Company says its focusing on gasoline and hydrogen. No announced plans.

is hoping to launch the Volt in late 2010 with a price tag of about $40,000. Why pay $40K for a GM volt… which will look nothing more than a Malibu anyway and only get 40 miles before the gasoline engine kicks in. Looking at the web it seem that the 400 miles is only with gasoline help. — Goodbye 2.
