Hyundai is initially offering the Tucson Fuel Cell to customers in the Los Angeles/Orange County region for a 36-month term at $499 per month, with $2,999 down. kWh, 24 kW Li-ion battery pack (the same as in the Sonata hybrid) provides energy storage from regeneration.

BMW ActiveE available for leasing in US in Fall 2011

The BMW ActiveE ( earlier post ) will be available for lease in the metropolitan markets of Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Sacramento, New York and Boston as well as the state of Connecticut beginning in Fall 2011 for $499 per month for 24 months with a down payment $2,250. Top speed is electronically limited at around 90 mph.
