Estonia has become the world’s first country to launch a nationwide fast-charging network for electric vehicles, using technology provided by ABB. On highways, the chargers are never more than 60 km (37 miles) apart, making it possible for electric vehicles to travel anywhere within the Baltic state without running out of power.

Molycorp now owns 100% of the Sillamäe, Estonia-based facility, known as Molycorp Sillamäe. On 1 April 2011, Molycorp purchased a 90.023% stake in AS Silmet in a transaction valued at approximately $89 million.

Ampler Bikes an Estonia, Northern Europe company that manufactures and sells light e-bikes has closed a €7.4m Electric bikes back up to 30%, capped at the incentive of $1,500 in the US . A proposed US tax credit for new electric bicycle purchases bumped backed up to a full 30%. Ampler Bikes raises €7.4M in equity funding.
