SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) announced today that the assembly of its Chevrolet Move—sold as the Wuling Rong Guang in China—will be assembled at General Motors Egypt starting in the third quarter of 2012. Vehicle kits will be supplied by GM China’s SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMW) joint venture.

Production is scheduled to start in 2016 in Togliatti. While international sales declined in recent years, Russia was able to export more than 38,000 assembly kits to Egypt between 2002 and 2013. It brings together 663 entities, which form 13 holding companies.
