UPS Purchases 130 Hybrid Electric Vehicles

UPS announced the purchase of 130 next-generation hybrid electric vehicles (HEV) to add to its growing alternative-fuel vehicle (AFV) fleet. The HEV fleet features two different size vehicles from Freightliner Custom Chassis Corporation and a hybrid drive system from Eaton Corporation.

Air Force tests all plug-in vehicle fleet in California; part of large DoD V2G project

The PEV fleet includes both electric and hybrid vehicles ranging from sedans to trucks and a 12-passenger van. The Air Force plans to expand the V2G demonstration next to Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, and Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, New Jersey. Eaton AC (non-V2G). Coritech DC (V2G using SAE Combo).
