Chrysler’s Dodge brand introduced the 2014 Dodge Durango full-size SUV at the 2013 New York International Auto Show. The new Durango competes in the full-size SUV segment, which with 900,000 units sold in 2012, has jumped 82% since 2009. Of those full-size SUV and crossover sales, approximately 60% are three-row vehicles.

Remember, Dodge found itself on the pointy end of legal action by angry boomers who were irked after buying a Durango SRT Hellcat under the impression it would be a one-year only model. Hosses across the nation were incensed.

The automaker said it would offer the Durango R/T and SRT Hellcat through at least the 2025 model year, but as history has shown us, theyll likely stick around for far longer than that. Its the perfect capstone for our celebration of 20 years of Hemi-powered Durango models. All of this makes sense.

A JL Wrangler Forums member got ahold of a letter from the automaker to dealers, telling them that it will allocate a single Final Edition of the V8 Wrangler if they can beat last year’s January sales numbers. The Ram TRX and Dodge Durango Hellcat won’t continue past 2024.
