AJR Trucking , a leading carrier for the United States Postal Service (USPS) and a major drayage carrier operating in the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, has executed a purchase order for 50 Nikola Tre hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) trucks from Tom’s Truck Centers, a member of the Nikola Corporation sales and service dealer network.

If you have only a few cars for sales reps or maybe a van for local deliveries, then going direct to a dealer may work. Sales reps can easily all be put in hybrids or plug-in hybrids, and in most cases an all-electric car, light truck or SUV. It all depends on the size of the fleet.

To make the Energy Commission’s buy-down program as efficient and simple as possible, the incentive reservations are awarded in blocks to vehicle manufacturers or their designated dealers. The incentives are passed on to the individual buyers at the point of sale. Kenworth is the original equipment manufacturer of the vehicles.

While not fast by EV standards, it will get the job done for entering freeways, which is what the e:FCEV will be doing a lot of as it will only be leased in California when it hits dealers in late 2024. Pricing and Availability Honda will announce prices for the 2025 CR-V e:FCEV closer to when it goes on-sale in late 2024.
