The Honda Civic Natural Gas car had previously only been available across four US states – California, New York, Utah and Oklahoma. However, the 2012 version of the vehicle will expand to 200 dealers in 35 states.

The California Energy Commission recently approved funding of $8,554,000 to help bring natural gas- and propane-powered shuttle buses, cars and trucks to California’s roadways. Kenworth Truck Company (Kirkland, Washington) is awarded $884,000 for the buy-down of 34 natural gas vehicles of 26,001 pounds and greater gross vehicle weight range.
