Ford will have one-third of its US dealers in all 50 states—more than 900— certified to sell the Focus Electric battery electric vehicle (BEV) and C-MAX Energi and Fusion Energi plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) by spring. Certification isn’t necessary for a Ford dealer to sell C-MAX Hybrid and Fusion Hybrid.

A study by researchers at the Institute of Transportation Studies, UC Davis finds that buyers of plug-in vehicles (PEVs) are substantially less satisfied with the dealer purchase experience than buyers of conventional vehicles—with the notable exception of Tesla buyers. In some cases, dealers outright discouraged PEV purchases.

We liked this design best with the dark exterior colors of Fusion Black, Gravity Gray, Shadow Matte Gray and the very attractive Jungle Green that is only available on the Sportage X-Pro Prestige AWD model.
