A decade later, in the 2010s, the battery EV began an astounding reversal of fortune, thanks in no small part to the engineers at ACP, whose electric-drive technology informed the development of the Roadster, the car that launched Tesla Motors. By the 2020s, automakers around the world were producing millions of EVs a year.

Surprising to many, including I suspect Tesla Motors itself, they found that about half the charging of Roadsters at home in the U.S. Despite the fact that it takes 38-60 hours to charge a Tesla from empty to full at 120V. They’ve kept my LEAF juiced, after all. is at 120V. Quite likely not beyond the current programs.

A simple, clean, efficient EV that wont run out of juice because of its on-board gas generator. So is the management in Washinton DC. Hybrids are a proven winner, but a series-hybrid (range extended EV), such as the Volt takes things to a much higher level with existing and "mostly" affordable tech.
