The transport carrier in the Czech city of Ústí nad Labem and Solaris Bus & Coach have signed a framework agreement for the purchase of zero-emission Urbino 12 hydrogen buses. Once the vehicles have been ordered, they are to be delivered within 420 days of the purchase contract being signed.

Solaris unveiled its Urbino 18 hydrogen bus, the company’s second hydrogen bus in its zero-emission offering. Solaris’s new vehicle doesn’t feature a conventional engine compartment as it has been equipped with a modular drive system. The space thus saved allowed the bus maker to increase the vehicle’s passenger capacity.
