LSPS belongs to a family of superionic solids which conduct lithium-ions at room temperature. Commercial Lithium-ion batteries usually contain an electrolyte that is dissolved in flammable solvents.

BMW Group and Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) concerning a mid-to-long-term collaboration on next-generation environment-friendly technologies.
