The MiEV runs on a lithium-ion battery pack that can be charged in seven or so hours on a 240-volt line. The electric car features three different battery options, two different Lithium-based (LI) systems – A123Systems and Enerdel as well as a Sodium-Nickel battery Zebra (Mes-Dea).
