When Dodge previewed its Fratzonic Chambered Exhaust for the all-electric Charger Daytona SRT concept (pictured), enthusiasts were divided. Some thought the idea of a faux exhaust system, designed to help EVs mimic the howl of a V8, was a cringe-worthy gimmick. It’s hard to know exactly how to feel about the above concepts.

It definitely was not the PDU connectors, as they had been double checked in front of us. So you can get max juice out of the battery. Probably the result of design errors in the mounting bolts of the motor.) We are still not sure which of the connectors was the culprit, which is a pity. It restricts the power to 1 bar.

Gallery: Plugging in at home Battery swap stations are a concept often associated with Better Place , an EV infrastructure company. Forcing companies to conform to standardized batteries prevents them from designing better cars. Definitely wont work. The modular concept also allows scalability even within your own car.

GM says it is already looking ahead to the next generation of Volt-based vehicles — it unveiled the Cadillac Converj concept in January — and says costs will come down as the technology spreads to more models. A simple, clean, efficient EV that wont run out of juice because of its on-board gas generator. 30 mpg is NOT efficient.
