The SDTS took on approximately 18,000 gallons of ReadiDiesel in San Diego, California. The test period lasted approximately 12 hours along the Southern California Coast, while enroute from San Diego to Port Hueneme. ReadiDiesel is a 100% renewable biofuel. Earlier post.). Based on three separate methodologies (described below), the independent analysis of the Federal Flow Rate Technical Group analyzing the flow from BP’s gushing undersea well has determined that the overall best initial estimate for the lower and upper boundaries of flow rates of oil is in the range of 12,000 and 19,000 barrels per day.
