General Motors (GM) has issued a warning to 2017-2019 Chevy Bolt EV owners whose vehicles were recently part of a recall. Two vehicles that were part of the recall have so far caught fire. The two Chevy Bolt EVs that burned up were part of a recall involving almost 69,000 vehicles for possible fire risks.

Passage by the Senate is far from a certainty and will require all 50 yes votes including from conservative-leaning Democrat Senator Joe Manchin of West Virginia to the Independent Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont. These lower cost EVs will also come with smaller batteries that produce fewer carbon emissions than their larger counter parts.
