Porsche is investing a high double-digit-million amount in its new joint venture company Cellforce Group GmbH. Porsche and joint venture partner Customcells, a spin-off from Fraunhofer, also announced the launch of production of high-performance battery cells at Porsche’s Weissach Development Center.

Porsche reports that around 60% of all new Panamera models that have been delivered in Europe were equipped with a hybrid drive. In Norway, 90% of all Panamera customers order a hybrid model, while in Finland the figure is 85%. Porsche is investing around €1 billion (US$1.2 Earlier post.) Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid.
