The rack and pinion electric power steering was too light for our liking, even though it was progressive, tightening (or becomes heavier) on the open road, While lighter in town. The front end has rounded edges with LED lighting on all trim levels (the SEL gets dynamic cornering headlights). Very European.

mpg, just a touch below membership in the magic 30 MPG AWD Club. coefficient of drag (C d ), which is a technical measure of how slippery the Atlas Cross Sport goes through the air, and the engine stop/start feature that turns-off the engine at a traffic light or stopped in rush hour traffic, then restarts when you release the brake pedal.

The front end has rounded edges with LED lighting on all trim levels. The flat roof leads to LED tail lights, and twin faux exhaust ports on the lower fascia. The LED lighting and chromed exhaust ports give the whole package an upscale look that makes the price tag look like a bargain. Very European.

LED tail lights and a very small “PLUG-IN HYBRID” badge on the lower right corner make up the details of the rear, hands-free foot activated lift gate. The bumper, with a flat top and a skid-resistance surface, incorporates dual exhaust tips. Our road tests are based on this one-week drive of a new vehicle.

Access to the cargo area, with tie downs, lights, a first aid kit and under-floor compartments, is through a power lift gate. The shelf-like LED rear tail lights continue the L-shape design cue, and end with F Sport unique larger exhaust ports. The rear outboard seats recline and are fed with air vents. Classic Lexus Exterior.

The narrow LED head and daytime running lights take up as little real estate as possible on the front fenders, and the turn signals are mere slits sitting just above the bright lower fascia. Because of this we don’t address issues such as long-term reliability or total cost of ownership. Class-Above Interior.
