Neste, the world’s leading provider of renewable diesel, has opened a new office in Hoofddorp, in greater Amsterdam which will serve as the global hub for the growing Renewable Aviation business. Neste is now also launching Neste MY Renewable Diesel to climate-conscious fleet customers in the Netherlands.

Neste, the world’s leading producer of renewable diesel and sustainable aviation fuel, has joined the eFuel Alliance , an interest group dedicated to the industrial production of synthetic fuels based on hydrogen and CO 2 from renewable sources. All solutions are needed in the fight against the climate crisis.

The aim of the Alliance is to scale-up, by 2030, the production and deployment of hydrogen as a fuel produced by means of low-emission technologies and renewable energy sources. Since then, hydrogen buses and trolleybuses produced by Solaris have been sold to operators in the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Sweden and Latvia.

Greenhouse gas emissions increased in the EU in 2010 as a result of both economic recovery in many countries after the 2009 recession and a colder winter, according to the latest greenhouse gas inventory published by the European Environment Agency (EEA). Emissions increased in 2010. below 1990 levels in 2010.
