The largest source of growth in 2010 is the United States, followed by Brazil, Azerbaijan, and Kazakhstan. Projected annual average retail diesel fuel prices are forecast at $2.95 billion gallons in 2010 (excluding the biomass-based diesel fuel volume requirement). Increased use of alternatives to oil-based transport fuels (gasoline, diesel and LPG) also help to temper oil-demand growth, though to a much smaller degree than efficiency gains in vehicles with internal combustion engines. The largest increase in oil production comes from Iraq, followed by Saudi Arabia, Brazil, Kazakhstan and Canada.
