The company signed a memorandum of understanding with Electric Transportation Engineering Corporation (eTec), a wholly owned subsidiary of ECOtality, Inc. to test and certify eTec’s vehicle charging stations that will be used in the project. According to the IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) Fourth Assessment Report (AR4), global CO 2 concentration in the atmosphere should be stabilized below 450 ppm, Nissan noted. Along with the mid-term NGP 2010 plan, originally announced in December 2006, Nissan is reviewing its long-term CO 2 emissions-reduction scenarios.
